James and Mary Emelia Mayne Centre
The Mayne Centre building houses the UQ Art Museum. As well as being home to more than 4000 museum pieces, the building is also renowned for its award-wining architecture.
The Mayne Centre has been upgraded to inlcude a 133.62 kWp rooftop PV system, efficiency improvements in its air conditioning system, and the installation of specialised LED lighting in exhibition spaces.
The Mayne Centre PV system is expected to generate 196,000 kWh per year – and it remains one of few Queensland art galleries powered by its own photovoltaic system.
